Our Blog’s Re-Branding
It’s been so busy around here as of late I don’t even know where to start. First, I apologize the it’s been so long since there’s been a new post. Between graduations (the oldest boy is now done with high school–sigh), summer activities, working on re-branding and planning summer trips, I’ve struggled to keep the days straight.
If you follow us on social media, then you know that we are working on re-branding the blog. What does this mean to you,? Well, as the blog has grown and we have cultivated relationships with brands in the pet industry, we had an undercurrent of personal development and wellness happening. Since the blog was born from this idea–achieving wellness and rising above difficulty through being active with my dog–I wanted to kind of get back to that core idea. We will still be doing product reviews and talking about dog-related subjects, so don’t fret. I understand that with the entire focus of the blog not being on the dogs, we might lose some readers. I hope not, but I realize it’s a strong possibility. We’ll also be getting a new logo. Haven’t finalized any of that yet, but you guys will be the first to know when I do!
Right now I’m working on so many product reviews that I have enough to keep me busy for months to come, so if you are a fan of these, you’ll want to stick around. We’ve been exploring some not-so-well-known products and some supplements that are worth mentioning. Balancing these as well as all of the other stuff we have going on, I’ve felt stretched very thin lately. I realized I should probably be writing about that, too, as so many of you struggle with the same things every day. I think it’s important to acknowledge the difficulties on the road to achieving something positive, and I intend to do more of that. Being authentic is important and I want the blog to reflect this.
I’ve gotten requests to share more of myself, and part of the re-branding process will be just that, with more video and more of The Mama. If you follow our Snapchat, you get a little of this already as I update more from my personal prospective (working out, off-roading, daily life).
Still working out, still struggling with it.
As a longtime sufferer of depression, I will be gearing a portion of the blog to my experiences with this and how being active and changing some things in my life have helped me. I started Walks With Rama as a means to chronicle a period of growth and healing, and even years later I am still growing, things are still changing and I am still dealing with emotional difficulties. I think it is important for people to be able to relate to others’ trials and to realize that they are not alone in trying to get through this life and find some peace within ourselves. Struggle doesn’t have to have a negative connotation. In the struggle is where we find our strength.
