Turning Dreams Into Plans
I’ve always been a dreamer. I’ve always had big dreams. As I get older–and especially after the scare that was the abnormal mammogram and everything that followed–I feel the urgency to achieve some of those dreams. I’ve achieved so much already, but I’m feeling the pressure to keep pushing forward until some of the major ones are accomplished.
I have always loved to make jewelry, especially inspirational and sentimental pieces. It’s a wonderful creative outlet. I decided I need to start doing this again. I think that by forging words of inspiration into a piece of jewelry to be worn on the body, it somehow helps the message sink in better.
I need all the encouragement I can get with regard to pursuing what I want. I get so bogged down in the day-to-day of taking care of the kids, the house, the dogs, worrying about how we are going to afford to live the lives we really want to live, worrying about my weight, about how the heck I’m going to be able to pursue the dreams I’ve had for myself all of my life. I am trying to consciously live instead of continually saying “Maybe some day…” and hoping I’ll get the chance. Time to make some stuff happen!
Do you have some dreams that have been as of yet unfulfilled? How important is it to you to make them happen?
